Car Seat with Food Tray
This work is, again, modular in construction. The main colours are pearlised peach and lilac, colours not associated with power and strength but with childhood and femininity.
Colour has a sculptural function here, flitting over the forms below, contradicting, distracting.
These shades - even the names - denote gentleness, weakeness, prettiness - why? they are contradicted by the geometric strength of the forms and again by the name of the work, which has no obviouscrelevance but denotes strength and purpose.
